seen

An in-body experience creating portrait odes to our never-before, never-againness.

“This was, hands down, one of the most empowering experiences of my life.”- Molly

If you’re looking for sexualized copy-paste poses, arched lower back come-hither male-gaze boudoir keep scrolling…

But if you’re looking for something more- self

Seen is different. Seen is divergent.

Seen is new portrayal; presence over polish, feeling over performing.

Seen is a feels>looks experience.

Seen is an explorative co-creative portal for seeing, being, and embodying a body- your body (oddy oddy oddy)

Seen is body work, an out-of-time, taboo smashing play that amends us to ourselves and initiates a deeper connection to how it feels to be ourselves exactly as we are, right the fuck now.

Seen explores disrobing performance, unmasking, integration, and expression for images of the divergent, impactful sort.

Seen isn’t something you stumble onto. It begins with an invitation, an idea, a desire, images you’ve circled around—maybe a years or life-long longing, maybe spontaneously or all at once. When you recognize it, when the idea of it sings itself in you and sticks to your ribs know this:

You don’t need to be “empowered,” enlightened, or healed to be seen.

You don’t have to be certain.
Or brave. Or photogenic.
You don’t need a better reason than your own desire.
You don’t need to explain this to anyone.
You’re allowed to be a little worried or scared, to be a little raw, a little full of yourself.
You’re allowed to want to be seen.

This experience is hard to put into words—so I won’t try. Instead, here are a few reflections on what Seen feels like,

You will not be void of wrinkles or cellulite or rolls, but you will recognize that they are part of you and that you should love who you are where you are. You owe this to yourself. Even if you think you aren't ready, you are. You need to be seen now so you can be seen in the future.”- Errin

“It felt like art! I got really excited about what we were making and kind of took myself out of the equation.” - Sabriel

“I was nervous at first, but that quickly melted away and I just felt peace, like it was the most normal thing for me to be doing. I felt like a child and like the most powerful goddess at all the same time. It was as if time stood still while this was all happening and I was in a little bubble just for me.”- Molly

“It’s a whole process happening in me!”- Kerryn

It's an experience you'll won't get anywhere else. The connection you'll feel to yourself…to the magic of Ashley is simply thrilling.”- Steph

The season of life I'm in didn't allow me to hide what was true for me at that time, and being able to show up in honesty (an invitation Ashley is good at extending) it made me feel more capable of addressing the life I'm actually in. As opposed to pretending to be something else or denying what I'm not.”- Maddie

“I honestly didn't want the session to ever end!”- Andrea

For women with an instinct for what’s raw, redefining, and expressive.

Seen is an ode to movement, divinity, and the dignity of the life. Proof that you were here, you were raw, you had a body of flesh and bone: you were seen.”

To be seen as self, in the now, as changing, as a mother, as a lover, as a body and beyond the body “Seen” is an ode to movement, divinity, and the dignity of the life.

Seen is an in-body experience creating portrait odes to our never-before, never-againness.

Proof that you were here, you were raw, you had a body of flesh and bone: you were seen.

Energy- the tenderness of the maternal, the shared laugh-cry cackle of sisterhood, and the transcendent bravery of embodiment.

I come from a lineage of stare-hards: detail soaking adorers. The demonstrative ones who hold your face in their hands and said, “Aw look at you”; a grandmother who loved rubbing earlobes, a father who photographed his wife getting ready, a mother who did hair and made sure you knew you looked as great as you did.

And now I, a middle aged woman of the beholder lineage, do the same. I witness and create images that speak clear and direct to the miraculous mundane dailies of being and body, nature and expression. I collaborate (is that a fancy word for play?) to create images born of the desire: to see and be seen.

I fall in love with every Seen client. I am in love with the world, with your nuance and in that I am seen too. We are both in the jittters, witnesses and makers of magic that allows us to divine o and opening, reaching into ourselves to find expressions that we are stewarding and cultivating. This is a deep thing we’re doing. It can be light and fun but it’s also uncovering.

Seen gets to the guts of what it means to explore and express the innate vulnerability of our being.

A sudden spark or a lifetime longing. A desire to be more and more and more you, to create p

Whether indoors or out, Seen is an immersive experience of inhabiting nature, as nature.

Seen exists out of time. I highly recommend you give yourself a full day as processing and prep may demand it.

Seen in an experience that is nothing if not paradoxical and multidimensional, this is installation of your self where mere beingness invokes and coaxes the spectrum of what is to the thrills of surrender and the sitting with the what triggers, initiates, and confronts.
